International Committee for the Children of Chechnya

International Committee for the Children of Chechnya was founded in 1996 to work on behalf of child victims of the war in Chechnya. Our mission is to support the efforts of physicians, relief workers, teachers, parents and others involved with the children whose lives have been devastated by war in the North Caucasus.
ICCC seeks:
  • an immediate halt to attacks on civilians;
  • guarantees of safety and security for all humanitarian workers in and around Chechnya;
  • an international effort to meet the basic and emergency needs of Chechnya’s children, including: medical care, vaccinations, and sanitary living conditions.
YOU CAN HELP
Thousands of Chechen children are forced to live with untreated injuries and conditions because access to medical care in Chechnya is minimal, specialized care almost nonexistent. Few families have the resources to bring their children to hospitals outside Chechnya.

Under the direction of Dr. Khassan Baiev, ICCC is raising funds to bring injured children from Chechnya to Moscow, provide the medical care they need, and return them home equipped for any necessary follow-up care.
